In 1935 Ernest Wiemann, a young German immigrant, already an acomplished machinist with a dream of owning his own business, began bending red hot iron in a Tulsa garage. For the next 85 years, Ernest Wiemann Iron Works, dba Wiemann Metalcraft, has delivered formidable architectural metal solutions to clients in the US and abroad. The pride in our accomplishments stretches from meticulous design and engineering in our offices, to the hours of work that metal artisans perfom in our 45,000 square foot, modern workshop, The hands-on, quality focused craftsmanship is an extension of our founder’s single-minded vision in his small garage workshop.
Doug Bracken joined Ernest Wiemann Iron Works in 1993 after taking one of his designs to Ernest for fabrication support. Having already earned a degree in architecture and after working with many architectural firms, Doug found his passion in metal, and with Ernest’s leadership, found his craft. The Bracken Family bought the business in 1996 and David Bracken joined his brother in 1997, bringing his attention to details and numbers management into the business. The Bracken Brothers era had begun.
Today, Bracken Brothers is where all things David, Doug, and Ernest intersect. A place where that Initial spark is fed both at work and at home. Whether it’s brewing the ideal summer ale, formulating a better dry-rub recipe, adjusting the smoke temperature for a recipe, or serving the trout that didn’t get away, we are bound by memories forged around a fire in outdoor spaces with friends and family.
Please take a moment to look at our other companies that continue to play big roles in our lives. Wiemann Metalcraft and Integrated Manufacturing Tulsa have made it possible for us to pursue our new passion.
